Author Bio

Scott A. Williams was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He spent eight years in a rural area known as Glenn Heights and attended school from first through eighth grade in De Soto, Texas, a bedroom community 20 miles south of Dallas. He attended high school in Arlington, Texas, before enrolling at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a degree in journalism. He spent nine years as a newspaper reporter at the Lockhart Post-Register, Bryan-College Station Eagle, and the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.

In 1994, he quit the newspaper business to stay home with his three-month-old son and to write. He eventually became a part-time and then full-time freelance writer for a wide range of publications. In 2001, he resumed his lifelong goal of becoming a full-time writer of fiction, a goal he continues to pursue today. He now works as a fiction writer, journalist, and grant writer for non profit organizations.
